General Description:
Type J dials are only found on the commemorative Speedmaster 125, dual ref. 378.0801 / 178.0002. Matte black with traditional Speedmaster painted luminous hour markers. Dial J1 is uncommon and may not have been released in production. It had a painted logo and 12:00 text and the chronometer text at 3:00 was “offset” and slides partially underneath the date window. It was featured in the manual and several ads and catalogues, and the Omega Museum has an example. Dial J2 is very common and has an applied logo and “OMEGA 125” and the text at 3:00 is level with the date window. Both dials feature open date windows.
