E Dials – Speedmaster Mark III, Colors, 176.002

General Description:

E dials are very similar to Type A Seamaster dials in color and overall dial design. Each color first came as non-professional dials with no text at 3:00, and later came in professional versions with the word “AUTOMATIC” moved to 3:00. Dials have painted logos and open date windows.

Information about the frequency of Mark III dials and which were produced first can be found here.
