General Description:
Blue and silver A dials have a painted logo and can be found on both 001 and 007, the brown ones are found on the gold-plated 176.007MD and have an applied metal logo. The blue and brown dials each have two text order variants: OMEGA Seamaster AUTOMATIC (OSA) or OMEGA AUTOMATIC Seamaster (OAS). The silver dial is only found with OAS text. UPDATE April 2017: All type A dials can be found in two text order variants: OMEGA Seamaster AUTOMATIC (OSA) or OMEGA AUTOMATIC Seamaster (OAS). The painted box around the date window is three-sided or “open” on all.

Notes
This dial is the “missing link” of the cal. 1040 dials. All the other dial colors for references 176.001 and 176.007 (satin and matte blue, brown, and gold of types A, B and C) came in both OAS and OSA text order. Until April 2017, I was never documented a silver OSA dial.
